An Historic Site, Museum, Libary and Archive - visit us!
Overlooking historic Cos Cob Harbor, four buildings with historic landscape and grounds restored circa 1900, serve as the Historical Society's museum and library. Once home to Connecticut's first art colony, Bush-Holley House today is a historic house museum featuring two distinct time periods. Guests first visit a circa 1805 Storehouse to register for tours of the museum gallery and house. An education center hosts groups in the barn, and a library and archives house the Greenwich history collections.
Bush-Holley House has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service and is a member of the Historic Artists Homes and Studios program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is one of 18 museums in Connecticut participating in the Connecticut Art Trail. The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich is a non-profit organization accredited by the American Association of Museums.
The Online Bush-Holley House Museum Tour and Student and Teacher resource, Sarah and Her Town, were made possible by the National Park Service Challenge Cost Share Program.
