Family Programs

Family Programs at Bush-Holley are both fun and educational and offer opportunities for children and their caregivers to work together. Families can attend Family Fun Programs, the Scarecrow Festival in October, or our Candlelight Open House in December.

The Snowmaiden Puppet Show

Friday, December 12, performances at 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Vanderbilt Education Center 

Enjoy a traditional puppet show presented by the No Strings Marionette Company. Nineteen exquisitely handcrafted marionettes will perform this magical wintery Russian folktale that will make you yearn for the days of “pre-tech” entertainment. Seasonal refreshments and special family tours of Bush-Holley House and gallery from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Candlelight Open House

December 14, 2008, 4:00-7:00 p.m. 

Celebrate the season with a visit to the annual Candlelight Open House. Decorated for the holidays, the c. 1730 Bush-Holley House comes to life with all the charm and warmth of this magical time of year. Entertainment, children’s crafts, costumed guides and refreshments add to the festivities.
