Programs for children are designed to engage their sense of discovery through first hand experiences with art and history. Programs include our Afterschool Programs, Summer Camps, and Vacation Workshops.
Kids Can Quilt Vacation Workshop
Tuesday, April 13, 10:00am–12:00pm and
Wednesday, April 14, 10:00am-–12:00pm
Enjoy a child-friendly tour of the exhibition and then learn how to make your own doll-quilt to take home in this two day workshop.
Grades 4 and up.
$30 for members. $40 for nonmembers

Quilt Discovery and Family Day
Saturday, May 15, 2010, 12:00 p.m.–3:00 pm
Bring in your family quilts to be examined by quilt historians and conservators. Fun and engaging, instructor-led quilt-making activities for families and individuals of all ages will complement the quilt documentation sessions.
Family Day only: $10 for members. $15 for nonmembers. Children 2 and under free.
Quilt documentation: $20 for members. $30 for members. Fee includes examination of two quilts and family day activities; Additional quilts $10 each.

Afterschool Program
In the Artist-in-Residence Afterschool Program, students work with professional artists to explore the artistic process. Students learn about the artists of the Cos Cob art colony and create artwork of their own. An exhibition of student art work is the culmination of the program.
