Antiquarius 2008
To benefit The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich

Each year in late fall, The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich holds Antiquarius, a week-long series of art, antiques and design events highlighted by the renowned Greenwich Antiques Show at the Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich and the festive Holiday House Tour of beautiful Greenwich Homes.

Antiquarius is a 51-year-old Greenwich Tradition that includes a Gala Preview Party, and a Holiday Boutique of unique gift shopping and this year, a new Designer Day will present a special opportunity for decorators and designers to bring their clients to the Antiques Show for free. 

The Historical Society has selected our friend Terry Betteridge of Betteridge Jewelers on Greenwich Avenue to be Honorary Chair of Antiquarius 2008.  The Antiques Show is co-chaired by Alease Fisher Tallman (left in photo) and Fraser Bennett Beede (right).  The renowned Holiday House Tour is co-chaired by Deanna Stratton and Jennifer Walsh.

Invitations to Antiquarius events are mailed in the fall. Last year, as a result of the funds raised through Antiquarius, the Historical Society was able to expand its school programs and Artist-in-Residence Afterschool Program to reach over 7,000 students in the Greenwich community.

Through participation as a Connoisseur, Sponsor, Angel, Benefactor or Patron, donors provide support for the continuation of a broad array of award-winning history and art education programs for children and adults. They receive entrance to all Antiquarius events and are invited to the Patron Party on November 6 at a private historic Greenwich Home.
