Annual giving, through contributions to the Annual Fund and major gifts to the Greenwich Historic Trust, has an enormous impact on the Historical Society's ability to provide outstanding education programs and resources for the community. Annual giving in the past has provided financial support for the Hugh and Claire Vanderbilt Education Center, the restoration of the circa 1900 historic landscape and gardens at Bush-Holley Historic Site, the period rooms in Bush-Holley House, as well as a full array of programs and publications to reflect both the Art Colony and early Federal periods in Greenwich.
Contributions to the Annual Fund, ranging from $50 to $2,000, ensure the delivery of high quality education programs for youth and adult audiences and support for the stewardship of Bush-Holley Historic Site.
The Greenwich Historic Trust is a major donor giving program comprised of individuals who support the preservation of Greenwich’s unique heritage and make significant gifts that fund the Historical Society’s critical needs and strategic objectives. Donor support to the Greenwich Historic Trust, with giving levels ranging from $2,500 to $25,000+, provides for the collections, the conservation of rare photographs, art and textiles, publications, preservation and exhibitions and programs. Underwriting opportunities are available for donors who make significant contributions for many of the Historical Society's important programs, publications and exhibitions. These include after-school programs, Summer Art and History Camp, teacher and student programs, Greenwich landmarks program, family festivals, lectures and changing exhibitions.
