Cherishing Our Past:

Preserving Greenwich History

Curator: William Hosley
January 17 to June 30, 2007

A fascinating selection including family heirlooms descended from Town founders, rarities from the Agrarian era, and masterworks from the Cos Cob art colony both elucidates aspects of Greenwich's past and explores the ways in which the Historical Society safeguards those stories for the future. A section devoted to the Historical Society's historic preservation program examines our efforts to increase awareness of the historical significance of structures in Greenwich and asks you to consider what has been saved as our town has evolved.

This exhibition is made possible in part by a grant from the Connecticut Humanities Council and by the generous support of donors to the Greenwich Historic Trust.
