Connecting the Past with the Present: Send Us Your Favorite Words of Wisdom

“The harder you work, the luckier you are.”
“We all make our own lives.”
“This too shall pass.”

At a recent appearance in support of our Fund for Program Enrichment, veteran journalist Lesley Stahl discussed her new book Becoming Grandma and touched on the idea that grandparents can have a profound effect on a child’s values.

The conversation prompted a new project, a compendium of Greenwich “words of wisdom” spearheaded by Board Vice Chairman Jessica Guff. Guff plans to publish the collection within the coming year and is looking for more words of wisdom to add to those collected from guests at the event.

Please email us examples of advice or adages from your grandparents (or other respected elders) that made a lasting impact on the way you look at life, care of Katrina Dorsey.
