The William E. Finch, Jr. Archives collects, preserves and makes available for research historical records and reference books relating to Greenwich history.

Hours

Open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., or by special appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays. There is no charge for visiting the archives.

Many of the finding aids (descriptive guides to historical records) and a sampling of the books catalog are now searchable online. Click here to search the catalog .

Research Services

The archivist is available to assist with research queries in the Archives during open hours, by telephone (203-869-6899 x23) or through " This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ." Questions recieved from researchers off-site will be answered as time allows.

Reproduction

Photocopies and digital photo-reproduction services are available for a fee. Permission to publish reproductions of material owned by the Historical Society must be obtained from the archivist before publication; there is a separate publication fee.
